3800 SC belt is hitting the bottom of coil packs...

SO, because my IC is a little taller then most, my SC belt is hitting the bottom of my coil packs.... :angry:

Anyone know about this? Any suggestions?

I thought with all I/C setups you have to raise the coil pack bracket up a bit? I think people just use a few large washers to give it that extra clearance.
I dont have an I/C but im almost positive that thats what alot of people do to fix the problem.

Ya - standard problem on all ICs. You have to use a spacer on the top coil pack assembly thereby raising it up for clearance.

Yup, even the LPIC I have requires you to do that. It's no big deal, just add a couple of washers, or a nut inbetween the ICM, and the bracket.

fix the fuel rail leaks, belt it on...all are DONE


Now I am working on:

.......fix the coil packs, put on boots, regap spark plugs, put on engine mounts, start the car.....pray to God.....

MIKE K, I need that wierd pice of steel that we did not know what was for. I left it at your house. It is to raise the coils.

It was a semi triangle piece of 3/4 steel with 3 holes in it. I will rig something up now and pick the plate up from you latter.

Understood sir... I'm looking and I have no clue how that's going to raise the coil but if you say so...

take the nut off the front(single one), then loosen the 2 nuts (side by side) enough to get the single post out of the hole(bracket), put the nut on the single bolt half way, tighten down the 2 rear ones(snug)
