hmmm... 2004 GTO LS1 used ... since they're selling for 23-24k new at dealerships w/kickass financing (2.9% for 60 months) ... if I could get it for 18k used car value (to me ) I'd take it.... (maybe up to 19.5 ... gotta come close to covering the value of my GTP)

But at 25k+ for a USED car .... cheaper to go to dealerships ... (they NEED to get rid of them... the 2005 car is an LS2 motor ... 6 Liter)

Speaking of carmax, do you guys give any kind of money for people selling cars, or is it typically not very much?

Selling an 04 gtp for 17998.00.
Problem is you know some poor fool paid 30k for it (the GTO)any only drove it 2000 miles. It drives me nuts seeing cars like this or the G35 couple and Z06's with no miles on them. I'd live in it for the first year I owned one! It would be like "Hon you seen the remote? And I'd say no let me look... 3 hours later I'd call from somewhere in Iowa... No hon it's not here either!"......... :lolsign:

You get the fair market value. IE: what it can be bought for at wholesale auctions. Sometimes its above kbb,sometimes it below. Each car is different.
What you have to remember and some people have a problem with...if it can be bought for 10k at an auction why would you be offered 15k? You won't. Dosn't matter what you paid or spent on it, or what you owe on it. Its what they are selling for at auctions.

That's the problem Only way my GP is worth anything is if it's totalled heh... insurance covers retail price + Gap insurance


but if I could get a split between whatI owe and what it's worth I could change cars heh... that's what I meant
