3800 DIC question

These vary from diferent years right?
I have a 98 it has mpg, range, oil life, fuel used, then the tcs button, tcs off light, low trac light and then has a pointless boost guage.

I know 99+ have the performance shift light there.
Are there any other differences with newer ones?
just curious might upgrade to a newer one if its worth it.

Exactly. All you will get is a little light that says performance shift. Technically, I think its there, but it just doesnt light up. There might be a write up on how to do it for the 98s.

IIRC the 98s light up on the gauge cluster.

my 97 gtp has it up on the DIC

98' is the only year that had it on the dash. As Brian said, the DIC always had the performance shift stencil in it, but it does not light up on the 98's.

They all have it on the DIC, just in 98 it doesnt light up on the DIC. Dont know why, but thats the way it is.
