3800 ok, found some leaks...

well, in the pick below, when i sprayed starter fluid on it, the car surged. i think i basically narrowed it down to the sensor that is gray and red. i sprayed around the whole area but nothing surged unless i sprayed the front of the sensor plug. now my question is, what is that sensor? what is that unit?

i also found a leak on the backside of my supercharger. i replaced the coupler pulley last weekend and rtv-ed everywhere on the snout really good, but i must of missed or something. can i just rtv around it instead of taking off the whole snout? i know it might be ghetto, but if it works, i'll do it. another thing, what do you torque the supercharger snout bolts to? i saw 15lbs. is that correct?

maybe i should start with this first. what does an evap solenoid do? if the solenoid is broken, why would it leak air. it's in there farily tight.

are you sure that it is the canister and not the manifold down there. the evap canister recycles or does some stuff with the fumes from the fuel. its for emissions. and your welcome for the idea
