XM's 30-second commercial, produced by Mullen Advertising, opens with the scene of a typical morning traffic jam. A driver commuting to his office sits happily behind the wheel of his automobile while he listens to The Black Eyed Peas' new hit single "Shut Up" on his Delphi XM SKYFi radio. The fast-paced ad cuts to a close-up shot of the SKYFi radio, which displays the name of the artist and song title, one of the innovations that has made XM the fastest-growing new audio product in the last 20 years.

The driver proceeds to steer his car through the front door of his office building, across the lobby, up the elevator, and over to his desk while the music plays and a voice-over says, "XM Satellite Radio. One hundred digital channels you'll never want to be without." The driver effortlessly removes the SKYFi radio from the car cradle, exits the car, and inserts it into the Delphi XM boombox sitting on his desk. The music resumes as the announcer says: "It's music, sports, news, and talk, many commercial-free. For under ten dollars a month. XM Satellite Radio."
