3800 Buicks were faster - now Montes are faster

From the beginning, the Buicks were slightly faster that GTP's with minimum mods. I remember the guy with a Buick (he introduced me to modding) that ran 13.8 with just a 3.4 pulley.

Fast forward: Now Monte's are faster . I don't understand. Example:
2004 IMPALA SS Best ET [email protected] 1.79 60'
ZZP VScam,FWI,3"d/p, 2.8"& 3"dub,gen5 s/c, 42lb inj's, ported frt. stock manifolds, and diff

There are people here (me included) that have more mods that this Monte. Yet he's screaming with a 12.26. What do we GTP's have to do?!?!

Yes, it's the combination of mods that will turn good times. I understand. But how do you explain most Monte's (less numbers in the club) being faster than most GTP's? I think GTP's are just slow. VERY frustrated with my GTP. ARgh.

Water injection and he has a suspension limiter that prevents rear end squat. We have a prototype that we're working on that accomplishes the same. Next time we go to the track perhaps you can try it out.

-ZZP VS cam
-FWI
-3"d/p
-2.8"& 3"dub
-gen5 s/c
-42lb inj's
-ported frt stock manifolds
-diff
-HP Tuners
-Water Injection (guess this car wins the debate of whether wi works or not)
-rear suspension squat limiter device

That about it?

I really don't think hes spraying...N20 at least. He's using a pretty fancy w/i system that's working very well for him. There's a couple posts now in cgp/general forum. I'd say 15psi @20* ta speaks for itself.
