3800 Recommendations on plug wires

Does anyone have any recommendations on spark plug wires. I was simply going to use GM, but my dealer wants $88! There must be a cheaper alternative.

Bosch or you could go all out and get the Taylor wires but they're pricey....

I got some Ultra spark or some cheap brand from autozone. I have no problems with them

Don't get the Taylors, they suck. I got a whole year out of my last set. The pre-fit MSD's aren't bad...MSDs are made by Taylor, but the construction is a little better. If you want to make your own set try the Accel 300+ race wires. They will last forever, and have the lowest resistance per foot, even better than the Taylor 10mms.

if your looking for something to just replace the stock wires, autozone has some wires that i think i remember paying $24.99 for with a lifetime warranty. if your looking for a performance upgrade get the msd's

Dealer wire are the best. Dont get a cheapo set. If this is the last set you want to install PM me with the dealer PN. I get a discount. I will grab them but you will have to pick them up.

Get stock ones from the Dealer! You can never go wrong with OEM wires.
Funny how a lot of people try different wires, then always go back to "stockers"

I just took syP last Saturday to get a set from Village Pontiac and they were only $62 Dealer Price???

I had taylor's and they crapped out on me, went back to ac delco's from the dealership.

The dealer family discount on the wires should put them under $50, that's what I bought mine for. As for Taylors, they worked well for me but I swapped them thinking they were causing me a problem. It turned out to be the plugs.

That is funny, I have been running the same MSD wires for over 5 years now and still running.

Hey Ron,
I know the MSD wires are about 50 ohms per foot. How do the Accell 300 compare? Yous said they have the least resistance. Do you know what that resistance is? Just wanted to know.

Also just to let you know I measered one of the MSD wires I made and it was about 2.5 feet and it was about 130 ohms. Than I measured the stock wire that was the same length and it was over a 1000 ohms. That suprised me.

I had my # 6 prj whire start arking to the 02 sensor for no aparent reason other than it was close enough to ark, but prj sent me a brand new one for free, shiping and every thing they did not evean require it back all they wanted was a picture to prove that I did not melt the whire

Stixx: I looked into the cost of this for syp last time I went to the guy at the Dealer that gets me GM parts at wholesale. I believe he said they'd be $40 for the Delcos.
