3800 Sunroof Wont Open ...

anyone ever experienced this problem ? it starts to open then it kinda loses power ... then when i try to close it , it doesnt really want to close ,i need to somewhat help it ... it actually started the other night when my tensioner pulley froze up , i replaced the pulley tonight along with the belt ... and its still the same .?

any idears ?

what are the steps to replacing it ? is it hard or not too bad of a job ?

I agree, sounds like dat der motor is part near warn out.

after rereading my post it sounds like i tried changing my pulley to fix the sunroof... lmao ... what i was trying to get at was the alternator wasnt doing its job so i thought there was some connection there if that makes any sense ??

any tips about changing out this motor ? or even where to get one from ? (cheap)

Have you checked to see if the rails are greased up. Over time you would think the grease that is on the rails now would wash away or get dirty from all the dust in the air. Lube it up first and see before you go spending money on a new motor.
