3800 1.6 Rockers

Are getting roller rockers without additional lift worth getting when doing a cam?

...and Rob Archer from Indy is running a VS cam with Gen 5 blower, LS1 TB, 42.5 lb injectors, fwi, 2.8, hptuners, on stock rockers, exhaust manifolds, heads, and diff and he ran a 12.48@109

Just doesnt seem like the gains would be that huge.

What about 1.7s or would that make lift to high with the cam I'm putting in?

I liked the idea of the 1.6/1.7 hybrids I assume the 1.7 is for the exhaust valves, which would be sweet.

Not worth it for the cams out there. I can't speak for the Stg 4, Thrasher, or XPZ cams, but with the currently availible lift, not worth the 5hp. We have "roller rockers" stock. The main friction is in the pivot, the "full roller" just gives you the roller tip. The stock arms are also pretty stiff, no real probs there.
