I have looked into scanners and an auto tap and at this point its out of my price range. Is there any one who can tap or scan a Chevy Malibu and tell me why my check engine light is comming on and why its spuddering while its on and then goes off. I am more than willing to slipe the person who helps me a few bucks, name your price.

take yourself to the local auto zone. I think there is one on New York st just before rt 88. They can plug in the OBDII and tell you what code you are throwing for free.

Yeah, AutoZone on Lake St. across from Jewel or Pep Boys on 34 by the mall can tell you what the code is for free.
