That's just the gauge style. :)

John if you need a hand and have it all apart already give me a call and you can stop by.

Generally the gauges are really easy to install. Here are the most common wire designations:

Signal - This goes to the appropriate sensor (if using an electrical gauge)
Power - This goes to a switched 12v power source
Ground - This goes to ground (If installing with an A pillar pod group all ground and ground to the a pillar)
Light 12v - Come out of the little round plug at the top of the gauge and is red in color. Connect to dimmer switch
Light Ground - Also comes out of the black plug, wire is black, connect with all other grounds.

what type of gauges, boost, tranny temp, AF etc.

I installed those 3 and it took me a while, but it was easy to do. Just took a while to find a power source but I eventually used the passenger fuse box. Let me know what type of gauges and I can help you out.
