Charles I went for my emmisions test.

ANd I was unable to do it. I remember that one guy at you house was having the same problems I was.

Cat effeciency status................NOT READY
EvaP System Status............... NOT READY
Oxygen Sensor System Status....READY
HEated Oxygen Sensor System Status.....NOT READY
EGR...........................................READY


I am not ready in 3 areas. ANy idea why it is doing this. I drove for about 1 hour 40 miles to go to work and hit up the emissions place befor work. Does the car need to be driven longer. The man asked me if I disconnected the battery lately. I told him no. I have not disconnected the battery in a cple months.

Is it possible that this happened because I had cleared a MIL yesterday?

its possible by clearing the mil that the readiness monitors didnt kick in. in my stang it takes 2-3 long trips and some short trips to get them to ready.

is the car going into closed loop?

drive it for a few days after you clear the codes before you go.

I went 3-4 days after i cleared all mine out, and passed, no PROBLEMO

I thought you had to drive the car for awhile after you clear the PCM so it has time to run the checks it does. It take a certian amount of run cycles for it to clear or ok the those emmision related perameters. Right?
