3800 Cam won't go all the way in

Ok, this probably sounds like a wierd question, but I pulled my stock cam out, took the key off of it, put it on my new cam, and lubed the new cam up. Next I got the cam to slide most of the way in, but it still has a little bit farther to slide in, and it doesn't want to budge. I tried turning it, but it still won't go any farther.

Any suggestions?

the far end up the cam needs to lift up very slightly then, push down a little on the cam and the other end will raise just enough to make it that last little bit.
