3800 Mercedes Benz SL 600

Racing on higgins heading west bound off of rt 53 today. THis guy had 2 other people in the damm car.

I think he wanted to show me since I pulled around him really fast after the light off of the x pressway.....

SO we line up to the first light and I didnt know he was gunna gun it.....He pulled hard as hell...didnt even try to catch up.

Next light we caught I though id try. I got a small jump on him.....( He probley didnt know I was racing :lolsign: ), and I was beating him till about 50. The whole time he was gaining on me and reeling me in. If we went past 60 he would have killed me on the top end.....Dam GTPs....not top end.


3rd race, next light.

He got a jump on me and I was beat up to 60...he was pulling on me pretty good.


Anyway, they gotta V12 and a turbo or something I believe.
Shoulda seen his smile at the stop light......Young preppy business guy.....I would of give anything to have someone faster in the club race him and blow his doors off...haha.!

how did he have 2 other people in the car? The SL series is a roadster, hard top convt coupe. It can only hold two people, unless you are talking about the S class sedan. Same engine, still fast as hell

I raced a 03'ish SL500 a few weeks back, it was real close, he pulled very slightly on me twice! I realized after that the A/C was still on but Damn even that car was fast. It turned out to have a 300+hp V-8 and runs 14.1'ish in the 1320. Mercedes isn't playing fare. I think the SL600 would have probably lapped me on a one way.
