I want very badely to put a l67 in my 91 regal, I am just wondering about the transmition fitting if i would have to cut an axel and if the trans case its self is the same size as the one that is in there right now, would it be possible to take the axels out of the old trany and use them in the hd just looking for some one who has done this or knows how to.

thanks

It's probably not too bad of a swap. Does it have a 3800 now?

The motor mounts will be some work. The 4t65e is a bit longer on the passenger
side. The old axles will not fit the 4t65e. You should be able to use the GTP or
supercharged Bonneville axles, but you might also have to change the front
spindles.

The wiring will be the hardest part. Lots of custom stuff there.

The best thing is to find a GTP, riviera or L67 bonneville front clip. Get as much
of it as you can, engine, trans, wire harness, pcm, axles.

It's a lot of work, but pretty fun when it's all done.

I cant think of the name of the joint now....Its on the corner of 115th and central. If you get desporate...The do CV's driveshafts an custom work...Im sure any good shop that does driveshaft work can do it. You probably dont want to try it yourself. It sould be done professionally to avoid a balance problem...You dont want any vibrations.
