3800 Another Cam install question

From Eric Buono's directions: "One last thing before we can remove the cam. There is a thrust plate that is behind both of these gears. It is held in by 2 torque screws. Use you torque bit to remove these and DO NOT strip them! Once the thrust plate is off - we can now remove the cam - YAY!"

Trying to get those to torque screws off, I have now twisted up two torque bits (size T27).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get these off?

Use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel and cut a slot in the bolts. Then use a flat blade screwdriver.

Get some good torque bit and try again,hit the bit with a hammer maybe the shock will loosen them for u

Ok, I ended up getting them off by cutting into them some more and using a screw driver. Thanks for the suggestions.
