The diaphram pump was loud, not unbearable, but noticeable at idle ( I do drive a Regal afterall ;) ) So I went with a Johnson pump that the Syclone/Typhoon/Lightning Guys seem to be having good luck with. It is a centrifigal pump (not a mag drive), small, and very quiet. You can barely hear it with the engine off.

I picked it up from www.autoperformanceengineering.com for $65

Mike

Here's a comparison with the Jabsco pump and the Johnson.

Rob,

This pump install was great. The other pump I had was mounted on the bumper.

Here's some specs on the pump

3/4" hose connections (just like stock)
Pumps water in temperature range -40 F to 176 F
Sealed pump chamber
Stainless steel shaft w/ mechanical seal
5000 hour motor life (same motor as CM30P7-1)
Weight 1.16 lb
Current draw - 2.2 amps
The coolant flow rates for this pump are very similar to those of the Ford Lightning Intercooler pump.

Pressure
bar Flow
gal/min
0.10 7.1
0.20 5.3
0.30 3.0
