3800 aftermarket headers

i was just wondering if anyone has installed other guys headers. i was just wondering what i would need and how hard it is to install them. thanks

Hey talk to AlexGTP he has done the install on TOGS for several members including himself so that's the guy you want to talk to. It's not that difficult the front is easy but the back is a pain.....Good luck if your trying to install them yourself...............Leo

It's not that hard. It takes only about 5hrs with a helping hand and the right tools.

If you need help with the install, or want someone to do it for ya...you can PM a lot of people on this board including me and alex.

The hardest part is to conncect the DP and so forth......You will need lots of extensions and swivel sockets..........gear wrenches help a bunch too........

We just put the headers in on our olds not more then 2 hours ago, man excuse my language but what a bitch that was, we had to set them in next to the motor while it was halfway in and wlk them down as we put the motor in, we had to start over about 4 times to finally get it right, then to put the gaskets on sucked even more. but hopefully GP's are a little easier.

Lil Hijack here but here are some tog questions:

I have a 3in DP made by Jim the muffler guy. From what I can tell my Togs wont bolt up to this DP.


I keep hearing that you have to cut and modify some part of the tog headers, what is up with that?

No just have him weld the flex pipe to D/P and it will still bolt up to your headers.

mike installed slp's, but the motor was out of the car at the time i believe

yeah i put them on (slp) i like them but the tranny dip stick tube is a biach
