get the hemi or an f-250 for towing....the lightning would be maxed out as far as towing goes once you figure in the weight of the trailer, or a silverado 2500.....Originally posted by emersonhart13@May 24 2004, 04:14 PM
Lightning Regular Cab:
Payload: Maximum 1350 lbs.
Towing Capacity: Maximum 5,000 lbs.
Ram Quad Cab:
Payload Capacity - Maximum 1851
Towing Capacity - Maximum 8650
Which is more of a truck?

the world may never know B)WHere do you find the cake to buy all these wonderful toys?

Bumpin-
Seriously I don't know why its so hard for you to choose!
Honestly you know, and I know that you are going to be getting a Chevy Aveo
For a few hundred bucks you slap on a tow kit and you are set.....
You know you want to get the hatchback!
I just watched that episode today! Spike TV is having a Trucks! marathon. he said the gains were like 150hp + and like almost 300 lb/ft. he did some massive burnouts in that thing... i am curious to see what that thing would run in the quarter mile.. You should get one of those 6.0L Turbo diesels in the F250. They put out like 325hp and 560ft/lbs of torque stock
Did anyone see the Trucks! where he installed the 6-gun Gene Banks bundle on a 6.0L Powerstroke diesel F-250? He said they gained like 138+ hp and 231ft/lbs of torque on the 6th setting! Thats like over 700ft/lbs of torque! I bet you could tow a house with that kinda power!
Talk about tire smoking, man oh man!!
But if you cant get one of those, then I'd go for the lightning...
i have a feeling that after my dad buys me this truck he wont want to buy an enclosed trailer, so i dont have to worry about that one :lol:and don't even think about a nice enclosed trailer...
