3800 valve seals/valve guides???

kinda confused on the tow and was wondering if I should replace them when I do my trans.

I have 84k on the original engine and trans now.

Im just worried about leaking oil through worn seals...

Should I replace them and is it hard to do????

valve seals are not in the tranny.

I musta been thinking about my next post about my trans and slipped it in...oops.

Not too bad to do. You will need to remove the valve springs to get at them. I haven't done them on the GTP yet, but on all other cars they just slide on over the valve. Good idea to replace, oil in the gas will lower your octane big time.

yeah dude change them. get that out of the way for leaking oil and longevity reasons after a cam. i think prj sells them for like $30. i would invest in it if you are thinking about it.

get them from PRJ, and do the springs while you are at it too.
then you will be all ready for the cam.


I did it ALL at the same time, and am glad I did.
