My lil sis has a 96 GP SE ... with the 3.1 ... my question is if i was to go to the junk yard would a PCM out of a regular car work as a plug n play ... we have tried everything and it only turns over ... its not getting any spark . tried replacing the coil pack , crank sensor cam sensor . nothing .. a scan tool said to enhance TDC ...how do you advance timing with no distributor ?
she let some "dude" look at it that wanted to buy it ... and he had told her that it needs a new pcm and it would only work from the dealer because they had to program it ... i know on our cars we can change them at will, but i dont know about the older style. i think the guy is trying to "steal" the car from her ...
my cousin just told me he can get a hook up on the pcm for 50.00 for that car .
