3800 autotap question

when scanning with the a-tap, i log the data and then play it back.

after i play it back how do i log another run?

just click the connect button and it will re-establish a connection to the PCM. you can then log another run.

i think something is wrong with mine then.
when i click connect it will connect and the numbers just sit there where they were at last.

and if go to log data, and choose a pre-existing file to overwrite- the screens background turns red and the numbers freeze.

Well, when I had troubs with mine it had to do with anti-virus software. Even the MS OS fixes caused probs. If it's possible, turn off any anti-virus software you may be running, and re-install autotap after a good defragging.

the atap software is just whacky .. I generally use the old DOS software for logging ... though that wont last much longer as I'm upgrading my cable to the 2.0 and getting EFI Live

I have problems all the time w/the windows software where it won't reconnect after I disconnect... so I have to close down and open it again...

I usually justclose the program and then reopen it.

yep...if your numbers just sit there after it reconnects, you have no choice but to shut down and restart the app
I sometimes have that problem and it pisses me off to no extent when it happens while i am in the staging lanes :angry:
