3800 180 t-stat?

What's your guys feelings about a 180t-stat if you already have the dhp, i don't do a lot of racing or anything, and i know it kinda hurts your gas milage. But if i put it in is it really going to matter that much? Otherwise i really don't feel like messing with it and just keep in the 195. Thoughts?

i ran a 160 with my dhp in my old car and it was great in the summer, just swap it back in the winter though

I think you may lose 1-2 mpg. It will work well with the dhp. If you dont race much why did you get a dhp . Its up to you, but I would at least recommend drill the 195 that you have in now. Should help you a little.

Drill them...180 in the summer and 160 in the winter....They are effective with Caspers fan relays to keep temps down....You can also remove the rear hood weatherstrip and underhood insulation in the summer to keep temps down...

They work well with overwritten PCM's...Most will turn your fans on a little sooner..

Never heard of losing mpgs with T-stats.....Whats the theory there...????

The theory is that running your engine colder will allow colder air in. Colder air is more dense so more gets sucked in. More air = more fuel. More fuel = worse mpg. I dont know if there have been any tests or not, so thats why I said it may lower mpg.
