Question 2002 Grand Prix SE - Trouble Code Help

Hi guys,

I have a friend at work with a 2002 Grand Prix SE with the 3.8 in it.

Car has 190,000 miles

Throwing the following codes

C0035
P0420
P1811

Can you tell me what the codes are and what the possible fix/replacement would be?

Thanks,
Fred

c0035 is for the right front speed sensor. probably needs a hub bearing on that side
p0420 is for the catalytic convertor. with that mileage it probably needs to be replaced.
p1811 is max adapt and long shift. is the fluid full and kinda clean? does the trans shift hard? it's probably a bad pressure control solenoid

Did you erase them and see which came back. If it's never been scanned/erased before, so might be old codes.

The C0035, if real, should be disabling the ABS.

FYI that should be a 3100. I think the 3800 stopped coming in the SE model in 1998/1999

I was always under the impression after 99 or 2000 they discontinued the 3100 in GPs all together.

Or was it the other way around? Dont remember.
