That was a base model Taurus:

3.0 Liter V6
155hp@5250rpms
160 ft/lbs of torque

The SHOs sound a lot different also.

are you sure??? i thought just the SHO's have the dual exhaust? DOH on me... oh well. i feel dumb now... haha... at least i got a race on video.


That was on Naperville road, b/t butterfield and roosevelt. not a smart place to race at all.

Well that's not so bad then...

If it had dual exhaust then it was a 96' - 98' Duratec 24 valve, 200hp motor. Like the SHO, they have no low end power, but are relatively strong on the top end.

The SHO has different wheels, badging on the sides, and omits the chrome window trim.

They are weird. Anything from a 15.9 - 16.9.

actually not at all... because I floored it off the light.. hence my tires squeeling... then i thought he wasnt racing... so i pulled my foot ALL the way off the gas, seeing that he gunned it ( i could hear the engine) i then floored it again, after my foot was all the way off. so yea, i was not trying basically.
