My SES light just turned on after I boosted a couple of times today. Oh by the way, I have just changed my spark plug wires today, but I dont think thats the problem. I think im getting knock or something. But after the SES light turned on, it just stayed on. I tried restarting my car and the light was still on. If anyone has a scanning tool that I could use I would really appreciate it! I have no clue what the problem is Hopefully someone around me has a scanning tool like an autotap. I live in Lincolnwood.

if you can't find anyone w/autotap just go to an autozone... they'll scan for free..

May be a misfire if you crossed a plug wire or one isnt seated all the way. Whats boosted?

If nodody is around you with a scan tool...Autozone will scan it for free..

My light came on today too. But it was just the fact that my gas cap wasnt secure....double check that before giving yourself a headache

probably something went wrong with the spark plugs. make sure they are set in all the way. when i put in my rockers, somehow cylinder 5 spark plug didn't get screwed in all the way. haha. now i can actually tell when my car is misfireing. just go and recheck all of them. shouldn't take to long. good luck

Before starting the car today I rechecked all of the spark plug wires and made sure that they were fully in, which they were. Then after I started my car the SES light turned off! But I have no clue as to what it could've been.
