I've seen on 3 different boards now (mfba on saturday, ls1tech mid sunday and now late sunday here)

Very interesting look at the incident... ashame the *real* number of deaths caused by the incident will never be known (WHO reports 31 deaths... this is info given by the former communist gov't and from the way it sounds it's only employees taken into consideration... no accurate numbers are given for radiation deaths and deaths caused by the radiation exposure in the future/after 86)

i was just amazed that some people are still living in the area...i think she said 450 out of 3500 are still alive...thats kinda crazy

thats a very interesting read.. very sad as well. I couldn't believe they were trying to bring tourists into the ghosttown... and all of them left because of the deafening silence.. i know I would.

I think she said something about staying on the roads and she's fine since the radation doesn't stay on them


She's got her little meter as well...but when she was going into the buildings and that...kinda crazy, and the guys mail still in the mailbox since 1986
