3800 Hunter Dog

The real Hunter Dog passed away last week. My best friend is gone. 11 wonderful years we had with her. Hunter was loved by everone that knew her, she touched so many people. She will be missed!

She had fluid around her heart so the vet drained it and in a few days she was doing great. Well the day before we were leaving for Maui she started acting sick again so I brought her and he drained the fluid again so I figured she should be ok in a few days and when we get back I will take her to a specialist to see whats causing this. She didn't make it, I called my mom to check on her the morning we were leaving and she said that she was gone, gone? She wasn't supposed to die she was supposed to be getting better. Mom said she went peacefuly. We have to catch our flight for Maui in an hour and all I want to do is go home and be with her. How the hell am I supoed to enjoy my vacation when my best friend is gone. We did the best to enjoy ourselves but when we got back home it was very hard. It's been over a week now and my heart still hurts. I miss you Hunter, you will never be forgotten!

I'm sorry to hear that man, i know how you feel, My dog died a couple years ago when i was 15 and he was 13, so my ealriest memories were of him. I miss him so much, he was the greatest dog ever, never hurt anyone. It's sad to see them go.

Sorry for your lost, I lost my dog about 2years ago and he looked just like your dog but darker. I know how you feel but I had to see him sick and see him a day before we had to put him to sleep. Dogs are part of the family and they will be missed. Everytime I get home till this day I always see and quick glims of him in my backyard but I know he is not there. Again Sorry for your lost and hope everything turns out ok.

Thanks guys, it feels good knowing folks out there know how bad I am feeling (that didn't sound right but you know what I mean).

Against my better judgement we went out and got a new pup. I really wasn't ready but my family found one and fell in love and it is making them feel better. I do have to admit she is very loveable although she's not my Hunterdog. She is a 13 week old Yellow Lab and her name is Riely and she is very well behaved so far. Here are a few pics.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I lost my dog last summer after 13 years as well. I'd had her since she was 5 months old. We got another puppy and they're so different yet so alike...I still catch myself calling her Tia...cause she reminds me of Tia so much..


Sorry for your loss...the puppy will help ya move on...

The new pup is growing on me, she does a lot of things Hunter used to do as a pup. She is a lot of fun and she is a good puppyl, so far. I know what you mean I want to keep calling her Hunter.
