3800 Help on spark plugs

Hey, whats up everyone, just a question on my spark plugs, what are they suppose to be gapped at? on a GTP, also, is there a easy way to access the back plugs?

To access the back plugs you need to rock the motor forward and put your e-brake once you rock the motor. You could also wait until April 10th and come out to our mod-day at BumpinGTP's house and we could help you install the plugs and anything else you need. Go to Upcoming Events and look up April 10th or pm Bumpin so he could give you his address and how to get there. As far as the gap I'm not sure.

with your mods and stock temperature plugs, .054 gap.

to get at the back plugs, unbolt the top wishbone motor mounts, have someone rock the car forward, and then set the e-brake when it rolls forward. this will rotate the engine slightly so that you will have a bit more roon back there to get at the plugs.

Thanks guys..just can't wait till i attack those babys in the back...lol...i took my three front ones out...they were gapped OVER .060 (HOLY CRAP) time for new....i bet thats my power lag when i hit 90 mph....Thanks though for the tips.

Just get headers, then your spark plug changes take 10-15 min.

yeah, i just did a plug and wire change on a stock L36, and that was a pain in the ass. well, the only problem was getting the boots of the rear 3. after 95k miles, they where on there pretty damn good. took longer to get those off than the rest of the job did!

the last time i did mine, i didn't need to rock the engine....but headers and the lack of some of the brackets in the back help!!!!!
