3800 My kenwood display isn't working

I have a Kenwood single disk MASK cd player in my car.


Model KDC-V7017 its got the mask where it flips over and it just a blank black face when the car is off. I go out this morning and start the car and go...and i have music...just nothing on the display at all.

I can hit the button, change the channels, eject the cd, play a cd everything but

have the display on.


anyone familiar with this stuff? could it be a simple fix..or is it terminal?


its like a $500 deck i got off ebay about 2 years about for $200. it was new and sealed in the box.


just looking for advice/support LOL

with the radio on press the little round button under volume down button next to ATT buton for atleast 5 seconds

If you haven't gotten your Kenwood to work, I say talk to John (ILQUIKGTX) he will be able to help you with the problem, as he does this stuff for a living.

Just a f.y.i that type of radio the ribbon cable that connects the face to the unit usually goes bad seen it happen many of times .
I think the last one i sent in was about 75-100 to fix it!

hey...i found the part for $12...is it an easy fix? sometihng I can do with a soldering iron? i'm decent with fixing crap like that..too much of it i did at school....
