No, theyre actually pretty shitty cars until you start doing turbo work on them. The only reason they're so popular with "souping up" (gay term, soup is for eating), is because they have a bottom end that can handle a good deal of hp.
Plus, if it was an old one, there really isnt anything good about it except telling people you "have a supra," and thats only good until they see its an old one.

I'll add to horister's list with an older, but newer Impala/Caprice...the police looking cars. I've seen way too many of those dyno at 800+hp
Yeah thats what I was gonna say too. They also launch great cuz of that awd. Once the eclipses stopped being DSM's they turned to shit.

I raced a GSX eclipse tonight with 5 people in my car coming back from auto show, and we were dead even, from 20mph to like 75-80mph. Then 5 min later i pull next to a WRX STI!!!!!! I was just in awe of that thing in the first place, but i talked to him at the light, and when we took off, he had that AWD Turbo 5 lengths ahead of me by the time i got to 35 so i can punch it w/o spinning tires. After that awesome start, he only pulled like 1 other length til 100. That thing must have pulled close to a 1.8 60' no joke (dont know actually, but i run consistant 2.1-2.0) That thing just chirped, and ripped. It sounded so sexy though. He told me at the next light, that he thought i started catching him, but i think he was just bs'ing, cause he just fawkin took off.
