Well, I have a stock box off of an '03 GP....... Don't know if it's the same........ It has a K&N filter in it, NO PAPER filter!!!! I was hanging on to it for sort of the same reason you are speaking of. I could just loan it to you for as long as you need it to get your car worked on. I will most likely be in Chicago a couple days this weekend to hand it off to you. Let me know.
