One wheel burnout...wat?

So I was chilling with my CPD buddy..after few drinks he decided to show me how his Charger can "peel out" and it did. He dared me to do the same with the Regal grandpamobile...so as an intoxicated Polak I kept it real. I didn't skimp on tires but after all the smoke cleard I noticed only passenger side wheel was spinning. I know this is not how it should be...my old Regal didn't act this way. Soooo...what's wrong with it amigos?

This is because your car came with an open differential from the factory. Open differentials use a "path of least resistance" system when transferring torque to the wheels.

Just a shitty diff design is all.

Even with an Intense "LSD" back in the day, would still one wheel.

I noticed to get my stocker to work, I would wiggle the wheel back and
forth. Not sure if really did anything. My thought was to try and get power
to transfer back and forth quickly.

Method I used here. Once it starts then I just held on straight as possible.

GMR diff now, so no longer really need a spotter to tell me I am ruining my transmission.

I once had this happen while trying to show off in front of my high school. Luckily the crowd was all on the side that spun. Examining the marks later revealed what appeared to be a motor cycle burnout.
