3800 Warranty And Gutted Cat

allrite well i decided ill just pay my deductible for my warranty and have the problems that im having fixed by the dealer, even if it may be cheaper for me to do it myself. whatever it needs to be fixed. my ? is even though the GTP will be going in for work on the supercharger, I recently gutted out my cat, will they say anything about this that could possibly void my warranty? thanks!

i would either get the code cleared or get the spoof before going there, contact daytonapacecar and get an o2 sim

I believe that since this is emissions related... if they see the SES for the rear 02s they will try replacing them as part of the work... when they see that doesn't fix it.. they're going to assume the cat is dead... I'd get the O2 simms first...

O2 sim.... that way they don't look any closer than they have to at your car. The fewer questions they ask, the less they'll be likely to fight about warranty work. Plus it's easy.

grrr...i have no $$ and i took off of work this week to get this fixed, i need to go find $$ somewhere lol...do you think if i went in to the dealer explaning that i know my cat is "dead" and that im going to be replacing it soon and that i know that the check enginge light is on because of it would they not try to fix anything w/the exhaust, or would they still shit bricks? thanks

If they are to void anything, it would be for the cat if they wanna be dicks about it. If you can't get the spoof, then Id try resetting the PCM then hurry to the dealer.

I don't think they can just fix stuff without asking you first. Who's paying for it?
They may note for future that you had a bad cat but tell them you don't have time to get it fixed now.

i'd get the sim 1st...then you won't have to worry about the cat. if they see the code for the cat chances are they'll still look at it and then if you see it hollowed out it just may lead to more problems for you in the future. JMO though.
