My advice?

Build that fucking block. Tear it apart and throw a fully forged rotating assembly. Jeg's has a nice setup. Then hop on eBay and grab one of those electric superchargers. They have all the pros of a turbo and none of the cons of a twinscrew (parasitic loss). Grab one of those FAST 90 intake manifolds and plug the rear two ports. It's meant for an LS engine but a 3800 is just an LS with 2 cylinders missing, hence why everyone says it's been touched by the hand of god. Then when that's all done, get some MSD coil packs and wires with some NGK iridiums gapped at .020.

Then when you drop your transmission from all those sweetass neutral baja drops, go take a look at Great Lakes Car Enthusiast and ask the admin about a reputable transmission shop to really bullitt proof your transmission. He's had 4 of them done, the shop does great work.
