Not sure what am I looking at here but I am sure James does

I guess the short story is it helps stiffen the case up from flexing under
power and wearing/breaking chains. Since I plan on putting the turdbo into
the 9s, I am gonna need a bit of HP to push the heavy thing down the track.
I need all the help I can get to keep things together.

Next mod will be a duct tape wrap job just to be sure... :angrys00ls:

looking at the design id tap the 3 thrust washer holes and shorten the thrust washer tabs to make a total of 6 m6x1.0 bolts holding the tone wheel on

dude you can enable fourth but with the tcc and third you should be good to drive it around at 55-60mph at under 3k.
4th should hold ok to low boost/moderate tq, its the shift thats the kicker, just program to upshift to 4th at very low throttle and hold.
just treat it like a highway gear, only put the shifter in 4th when your doing 55+mph cruise.

it'd be a shame for you to not eventually do some 1/2mi+ shit with that converter locked in 4th, damn the torpedo's/i didnt really need 4th anyhow...

Took 3 years to create that piece, 5 were made, and no more will be made. Ill never understand making a fix for something, but then not actually making it, what was they point then?

Point was that one day I would have one. :roflpicard:

I assume there are some complexity to it all that makes it so 99%
of the populous can't install it on their own? So would require him to do
so, and appears it takes a lot of time and effort even for him to get it in there
just right?

He bought me a brand new case, and the casting around where the input
shaft goes is different then the ones he designed it for, and wouldn't fit.
So that was another issue he ran into. Something about it looks like 2005+
cases are casted a bit differently.

Either way, guess I am lucky to get one in there. Another rare part
to my build. Starting to feel like Pokemon.. gotta catch em all.

Congrats on getting one, it was interesting seeing all the guys on TEPs page freaking out because they got built transmissions recently and wernt offered this option. I'd be pissed too.

My car has been sitting at TEP for 9 months now getting all this crud
done, so maybe somehow I had first dibs on the last one without knowing :)

I just myself got informed a few weeks back about this. He brought
it out of the wood works after it became known that MattM snapped
his GMR chain setup. So for awhile now he's been working on trying
to get this in there and working. I'd like to think, if can drum up
enough interest he may start offering it as a service that he has to do
himself. But who knows what the costs will be. I have zero clue what
this cost me. Considering I handed him a money sack in January to
cover any and everything that crops up.
