I don't use winzip for my archives so not sure how to do it in winzip... but

if you search google for winrar (i think it's rarsoft.com) download winrar

Select all the files you want to archive and click add to archive (right click)

then select "Split to volumes, bytes" and select 1,457,664 - 3.5"

This will make it a spanned archive that you can put on multiple floppy disks

if you select the "Create SFX archive" option it will make the main file an executable so you can copy all the files to your computer at home and then just run the .exe to uncompress everything

with winzip (7.0 and later) you want to zip directly to the A:\ drive. Winzip will examine the file(s) prior to compressing them and if it thinks it wont fit on the floppy, it will open the option to allow spanning. leave it set to automatic and it will write the file(s) and span them across as many disks as necessary.

so.. select your file(s), right click them and select WinZip\Add to ZIP file
type a:\<your zipfile name> andmake sure in the spanning dropdown box "automatic" is selected.

that is all there is too it.. make sure you have enough disks.

altho WinRaR is an awesome program, there is not need to go searching the net for it and trying to learn a new program.... wizip will do it for ya.
