Racing Driver Qualifications
• Must be over 18 and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must wear closed toed shoes.
• Most sizes can be accommodated, although anyone that is over 250 lbs may have some difficulty depending upon weight distribution.
Zero Tolerance Policy
• No alcohol or drugs prior to racing; “8 hours bottle to throttle”. We will breathalyze anyone suspected of having had a drink.
Kart
• Bowman Race Kart
• Tubular chrome-moly chassis, with Kelgate hydraulic disk brake, alloy wheels and slick racing tires.
Engine
• Honda GX200
• 200 cc 4 cycle motor, revving up to 5,500 rpm.
Performance
• 30-35mph
At just an inch off the ground, most drivers will tell you that they hit speeds of up to 55, 60 mph. The Karts are fast enough to lose control of - If you don’t slow down for the corners, you’ll spin – touch the brakes too hard, and you’ll spin! This is not toy racing; this is REAL racing.
