1.) Key in the first 3 digits of your phone number into a calculator (do not key in your area code).
x

2.) Multiply by 80.
80x

3.) Add 1.
80x+1

4.) Multiply by 250.
250(80x+1)

5.) Plus last 4 digits of your phone number.
(250(80x+1)+y

6.) Plus last 4 digits of your phone number again.
(250(80x+1)+2y

7.) Minus 250.
((250(80x+1)+2y)-250

8.) Divide by 2.
(((250(80x+1)+2y)-250)/2

Look at the result.... Is this your phone number?

(((250(80x+1)+2y)-250)/2
=(((20000x+250)+2y)-250)/2
=(20000x+250+2y-250)/2
=20000x+2y/2
=10000x+y

multiplying a 3 digit number by 10000 will move it over 4 positions, just enough to add your last four digits and get the phone number back :)

:p
