3800 HELP

Hi People in new to the club and i need some help i have a 00 GTP and i have a coolant leak under the supercharger and now i have oil leaking from all around the motor. If anybody knows whats wrong let me know thanks.

i had the same problem, i checked everything and finally gave up and went to the dealer and had a pressure test, it was my lower intake manifold. best bet is to find it before you startr mixing thiose two fluids.

Sounds like you need to replace the manifold gaskets.

Hopefully it is not a blown head gasket.

I have the same thing. except mine is the upper and lower intake gaskets.


I'm hopefully gonna change em at the mod day.

Mine was the water pump... I believe.. if I am correct thats what they replaced

Could be the waterpump,also coudl be the oring that is around that black plastic elbow on the intake manifold Mine leaked there and actually leaves a pretty nice size puddle under the car.

Sounds like the rest of the group has given you a good place to start in regards to the coolant leak. As far as the oil leaks.....ussually the valve cover gaskets. The L67 is notorious for having leaky VC gaskets and the best thing to do is replace them. If that doens't fix it try some RTV sealer where the biggest leaks are coming from. HTHs and welcome to the oracle of L67 knowledge (ILGPC).......

oh yea forgot about your oil leaks. Yea as Nick said check the valve cover gaskets.

my valve cover gaskets were bad and replaced under warrenty at 70k.....

Also, they did my rear main seal.......that ones a lot...lot more work. Thanks GM.

Thanks guys for all your help i fixed the problem i replaced INTAKE MANIFOLD and a new Gasket Kit
