the 4t60e's are on grand prix GT's and se's

and other 3800 series motors(non supercharged) as well I believe.
Actually, the 4T65-E is on GT and SE's, I believe.

I e-mailed PFYC.com and they said I have the 4T65-E on my 2000 GT.

I know for a fact that my friends 1997 3.1L Grand Am has the 4T60 trans, because he tried to sell me a shift kit from it, but it wouldn't work.

The 4T60 was used in some early on 97 GT's, the 4T60 is hydrolic controlled using preasure to comand shifts. The 4T65 E ("E" standing for electronicly controlled) which is in mainly all GT's, and then the 4T65-E HD (heavy duty) used in the GTP's.

You can tell what transmission you have by looking at the codes on your trunk lid... look for M15 in all those codes that means you have the 4T65-E, code MN7 is the code for the 4T65-E HD.
