3800 How the hell do you change this?

My fans have been acting up now for about 2 weeks. I have to actually kick the motor in order for it to turn the fans on. (ghetto) So i have to change out the blower motor resistor. How do i do this exactly? Anyone have written steps? Thanks

I did mine a few months ago, I can give you a hand if needed. The resistor is under the glove box, You need to take the blower motor out, I will find some instructions and get back to you

My blower only works on hi. Hopefully i can fix mine too

It is pretty uncomfortable to get too. I sanded down the corners of the old resistor to get to the bolts in the back.

Mine is in need of a changing now too, anyone have any pics that work?? The ones in the link have some sexy red x's next to them...

This job really sucks only three bolts but just a pita to get to. The blower motor does NOT need to come out. You WILL need to sit on your head put your feet out the sunroof and plan on being very uncomfortable. Get under the dash and look next to the firewall you will see a little black cover with three screws and a plug in it(iirc) been awhile thankfully. Just take out the two fronts and try to break the cover off. You will never get the thrid screw back in so dont worry about it.
