3800 I almost became a victim...

of credit card fraud!!
got a call from one of my credit card holders and it seems that somehow someone got a hold of my CC# ( I am VERY protective of them!!) and tried to charge 4800$ at some health place!!
The CC company denied the charge thank god (not due to a lack of limit either...).
thank god for credit card protection!

Yeah. Its nice that the CC companies are taking this seriously now. You got lucky man. Some people spend years trying to clear up their credit after their id is taking.

Damn! you're lucky that the criminal was stupid (charging a huge amount at once) ...

I had my CC# stolen a year ago... bastage accrued 1800 bux in charges in Japan ... fortuanetly my CC didn't require me to pay anything... and within 3 months of reporting it was all cleared up...

I don't know how the person got my CC either... cause I"m very protective of that info also.... and the CC# that was stolen is my non-internet CC ... so it had to have been stolen from a gas station... or somehwere that stores copies of the CC...
