There is NO modifications to either the block, torque converter or the transmission case, and is easily bolted on at home. Those are called equal length headers or something to that nature. They are designed so every cylinder has to travel the same distance to reach the collector. supposed to help power

ps what's up with those headers?

those are the ford 3.8 supercoupe/thunderchicken headers that people cut the flange off and weld to 3800 flanges for rwd setups

you can tell by the ford style ball and socket pipe connection.

probably a good bit easier than fabing them from nothing but a hacked off OEM flange

the 700r4 can be built up pretty damn well, as can the 60e (later had removable bell's) by just using a v6 tq converter.

it aint rocket surgery but a kit to make it easier for the bolt-in crowd is not a bad thing.

this makes it much easier to fasten a 3800 to an engine dyno

Use a Dakota 4 cylinder bell housing and a jeep 5 speed behind a 3800.

I've said it other places but I've seen some dirt chela stripped down 2wd manual Cherokee sports on cl. I always thought getting one as low as you could with something fun under the hood would make for a fun sleeper. The fact that you can bolt up a 3800 to a jeep ax15 makes the possibilities way more fun.


Or build a 4x4 one with a 3800.

2WD 5 speed manual (stick shift)

The head liner was sagging so I pulled it out completely.
Right now I'm getting 18MPG
Strong engine and transmission.
Engine is the inline 6 cylinder 4.0 high output
Transmission is a 5speed ax-15, I believe it is called.
I just put new pioneer speakers in it.
I'm not sure if the A/C compressor needs to be replaced or just charged. I never looked into it.
I don't need to get rid of it, but It would be nice to have the extra garage space.
I have a CLEAN AND CLEAR ILLINOIS TITLE.

Fall is right around the corner everyone and winter soon after, you need a reliable vehicle that will keep you warm! This is that vehicle.
If you need to tow small things like a pop-up or some jet skis this would be great!

I'm looking for something fuel efficient, but all trade offers will at the least be considered. Must start, drive, and stop safely!!! My Jeep is in perfect running condition. I don't want any offers for cars that need hundreds of dollars of work just to be road worthy!
