3800 Internet Acting Funky

Internet explorer has been acting strange lately on my computer. whenever i try to view some websites (not any ones in particular) all of my IE windows just close all of a sudden, no error message or anything, they just close. im not running any pop-up blocker software, and i ran ad-aware 6 and spybot search and destroy and i still have the same problem. what the hell is going on?!? i cant surf the net without it closing on me at any random time :angry: :angry:

ok well i scanned my computer with norton, and it found 2 infections. it was unable to quarentine them, and unable to delete them. how do i get these damn files that are infected off my computer!?!? i know that i can restart it in safe mode and delete them that way but i forgot how to do that. damnit. can anyone help? ARghhhh

usually as soon as you rebot your computer, and when it shows the factory name (ie Compaq,Dell,Gateway) keep pressing F8 (or f11?) that leads you to a few choices. then select SAFE MODE
