2500-3000 Idle issues! Please help.

99 GTP, just performed: LIM gaskets,( first gasket I had was a felpro SC gasket, cut it to fit the port but I had a 1 inch opening on it, ended up causing a big leak, went to autozone and bout some gasket material and made my own, cut it to fit, RTVed it nicely and everything. Still same issue) water pump gasket, tossed on a ported LIM and gen 3, N* tb set up, car idles at 2.2K-3K RPM and does not drop, already checked for vacuum leaks, IAC ( not exactly sure how to tell, cleaned the port),purposely took the TB cable off, blade IS closed and issue is still occurring, unplugged IAC and MAF, no change, if anyone knows how to fix the issue and has a scanner and willing to help I am willing to pay for your time, I am in Kenosha WI.

I'm not really sure how to test if its working or not but maybe you could have someone start the car and hold it in your hand to see of its moving at all

If it is the I ask you can on both didn't reach your finger inside and plug the vacuum side of it and if it doesn't stall or not start then that's your issue
if it starts and runs at a lower rp.m. then you have a vacuum leak

Well seems like now it starts and holds at 1k, slap it in reverse and its fine, go into drive and it idles at like 15-2K, put it back in park and goes back up to like 2-2.5K... this is so odd

Have you re-learned the IAC yet? Smooth cruise at 45mph and it re-learns location. A new IAC will idle high or low until you do this.

Engine at operating temp, cruise at 45 mph for a few minutes. Find a road with a 40 - 45 mph speed limit and drive it for a few miles. If it doesn't go away then your IAC is learned (still may be jamed/frozen, but this is a quick fix if it just "forgot" it's place).

Did you check your DTCs? The bonne was all fucked up after we reflashed and threw a ton of codes, the iac was sticking just like yours. After clearing the codes it went away.

Also, james had me turn the key to on, not start it, unplug the iac, then start the car, then plug it in while its running and that was a temp fix.
