You mean the schrader valve on the rail? Yeah you can pull that core out with a valve stem core remover, and put a hose on it into a bucket to see if it is pumping fuel, a gauge on there sitting on your windshield would be better but either will tell you if it's pumping, if you hear it prime and run but have no flow chances are that hose inside the tank fell off or cracked
a bigger pump drew enough current to fry the TR's oem fuel pump relay, maybe swap with your ac compressor relay/etc after you check the fuse
You sure you don't have the access cover in your trunk behind the rear seat?
