starting issues

put in a racetronix fuel pump the other day ran fine after the install. Tried to start the car in the morning and it wouldnt turn over. primes and cranks but doesnt to want to turn over. Any ideas?

I'd put a pressure gauge on it, sounds like either the corrugated line cracked or fell off or the pump was junk

i tested to see if any fuel came out the relief valve didn't see a single drop

You mean the schrader valve on the rail? Yeah you can pull that core out with a valve stem core remover, and put a hose on it into a bucket to see if it is pumping fuel, a gauge on there sitting on your windshield would be better but either will tell you if it's pumping, if you hear it prime and run but have no flow chances are that hose inside the tank fell off or cracked

Yeah looks like it I'm used to seeing it in a different place but I think that should work, don't drop the tank untill your sure you have no flow lol

check for power and ground to the pump connector first

a bigger pump drew enough current to fry the TR's oem fuel pump relay, maybe swap with your ac compressor relay/etc after you check the fuse

Wouldnt the pump not prime if they relay was fried?

You should get a rewire if you don't have one, but yeah I think the pump would just be dead if the relay was bad

i have a rewire, problem is the one i have is 8 pin connector and my car is a 6 pin supposedly their are two rewire kits for the w-body. not sure if i have the right one or probably have to solder regardless

Sounds like rhe hose may have blown off if you hear it running....yous get a dribble out of the schrader valve
you should only have 4 wire at the cannister for pump n sender

nope tank is basically in the middle of the car

yes but W's have an access panel in the middle forward floor of the trunk right behind the backseat.

a dozen 10mm quicknuts removes a cover that lets you pull the canister while leaving the tank in the car....you dont even have to jackup the car

pullup your trunk carpet in front of the spare tire well, youll probably feel the dome and studs of the cover if you feel for em

fold down or removable seatback makes it much easier
