Injector Leak

Hi, I installed a SS IC over the weekend and I had to use the injector spacers that zzp sold. However the #6 injector keeps popping out from the injector clip and sprays fuel. All the other injectors are fine, I've tried stock clips and zzp clips and it happens with both. Would I need to try new stock clips? Also I have 55# racetronix injectors and they have 2 slots in them for the clips to slide into, does the clip go on the top slot or the bottom one? Thanks, Neil

you can usually tighten the clips by pinching them together on the open end. Nonetheless, sounds like it may be in the wrong slot. I'm not familiar enough with that injector to know which is correct.

Is there any method of bolting down the fuel rail with an SSIC? that would concern me. I can see how it might pop out if the rail isn't bolted down to anything.

how was the condition of the oring on the injector ive ran injectors with out clips on them before the rail should be tight enough that the injector cant come out or leak as long as the orings are good

Well its for the SSM90 kit and the rear rail only has one mounting tab which is more to the left side of the rail. ZZP should have made it with 2 tabs like the front rail has but it isn't leaking, new o rings and bent the clip to hold it in the slot.

Neil - post a pic of the rear fuel rail. Maybe there is a way to ghetto-fab a bracket for the rear mount point.

i use those same rails with no issues, but im sure my mounting is a little different, get us that pic

Use a tiny but of grease on the orings to get them to slide on better and it'll make for a better seal

the clips slid into the groove furthest away from the fuel side oring

in sime cases that groove does not go the whole circumference of the inj body
