I am looking to connect my trans cooler in line with my stock radiator cooler and have a question on what size fittings I might need. The stock radiator has 2 threaded fittings and they are both the same size. Inside of the threads measures 5/8ths. Looking to get fittings and just use braided lines for the hose connections. I am pretty poor with npt measurements. Should I get 5/8npt fittings? Or am I thinking about this wrong? Thanks for the help.

Russell-670540-Fitting-Straight-Flare-Metric-6-18mm-x-1-5-Male

Russell 670540 Russell AN Male to Metric Male Adapter Fittings

the oem uses a crush washer at the base where with these youll have to use Oring near the hex

if you had the older 5/8ths thread inverted flare fittings like on the "thick" 3.4 dohc 1st gen W's it would be better overall as the fittings seal without gaskets/oring are cheaper too

No, they are different thread sizes at the trans...That was a pain in the ass to figure out and I forgot to write the damn measurements down after :ugh:

I ended up using the stock return trans line fitting and used a crimp style an adapter and came off of it. Only reason is that there is a check valve built into the fitting and I didn't feel like dropping a lot of money to get one.
