Lucerne front struts on a LeSabre?

Anyone know if you can put front struts from a 09 Lucerne onto a 98 LeSabre? I can get a pair of low mile struts for basically free, and this LeSabre needs struts bad its like riding a bounce house down the road.

i dont know about the whole assembly but the strut itself is probably close

pics and details on motoralldata show the same knuckle and upper mount style (bolts not studs/nuts) but different part numbers

valving is probably different but id guess its a direct swap if not doable just transfering the upper mount

James, it's just the strut itself no mount or spring. I suppose being practically free I'll attempt it one of these days..

gm is rulled by beancounters...so it should bolt right in since its probably identical to the 97.5/98+ G C H B body cars

i bet a lesabre ridin like a lucerne is pretty sweet

The part numbers don't match on rockauto and although they look similar i've come to find out the strut to knuckle mounting holes are too far apart. I could mount the bottom but not the top. Oh well.

It would basically be elongating the top hole... Won't I have camber issues? 404 race-car not found. Probably just get gonna get some KYBs and camber bolts from Rockauto.

BTW Took the old strut apart before I looked at the strut to knuckle mounting holes and that sucker is DEAD. Pushed it in and it didn't budge.
